What is the Users league?
The Users league is the citizen participation mechanism through which people cared for at MediTic take part in the institution. Its purpose is to defend users' rights, promote quality of care, exercise social oversight and act as a bridge between patients and the provider.
It is supported by Law 100 of 1993, Decree 1757 of 1994 and the Social Participation in Health Policy, which recognize users' right to organize and take part in managing and improving health services.
Objectives
- Ensure that users' rights and responsibilities are upheld.
- Support continuous improvement of service quality.
- Promote transparency and social oversight of care.
- Represent users before the provider in dialogue, audit and evaluation settings.
- Create effective channels for community participation.
Functions
- Receive, analyze and pass on users' concerns or proposals.
- Take part in monitoring care, humanization and quality.
- Propose improvement plans and health education strategies.
- Accompany institutional committees where applicable (ethics, quality, humanization).
- Call assemblies and democratic processes to elect representatives.
Who can take part?
Any user can join the League who:
- Has received services at MediTic.
- Wants to take part voluntarily and actively in defending rights and overseeing quality.
- Follows the coexistence, participation and respect guidelines set by the League.
When assemblies or meetings are called, we'll announce them through MediTic's official channels.
